To support its research strategy, the BioAnalytical Sciences Department at the NRC is seeking a:

Stable Isotopes Scientist who will work within the Metabolomics & Biomarkers group.

Main responsibilities:

    Develop metabolic studies via the association of metabolomics and stable isotopes methodologies.
    Apply mass spectrometric and chromatographic analyses of labelled metabolites in biological fluids.
    Perform isotopic measurements and calculations of metabolic fluxes in lipid, glucose and protein metabolism.
    Work in concert with nutritionists, analytical chemists, biologists and project leaders.


Required profile:

    PhD in analytical chemistry, biochemistry, physiology, nutrition or related fields with demonstrated skills in stable isotopes.
    Excellent knowledge and experience in analytical chemistry, physiology, flux calculation and biological interpretation.
    Good communication and presentation skills in English, both oral and written.
